Tesco Life Insurance

Tesco life insurance PLC is a well-known company that sells life insurance in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The company offers not just life insurance, but also credit cards, loans, motor vehicle insurance, interest paying savings accounts, health insurance, home insurance, pet insurance (yes, pet insurance), and traveler's insurance. Tesco PLC also offers some special programs such as its Child Trust Fund, Critical Illness Coverage, and Over 50's Life Insurance. The Critical Illness Coverage will pay out a lump sum if the insured dies from or is diagnosed to have a critical illness that was previously defined in the fixed term life insurance policy it's a part of. They will only cover the critical illnesses that were defined in the insured's policy, not any others. Tesco will also offer this option on its mortgage life insurance products. The Over 50's insurance is Tesco's guaranteed issue insurance for UK residents 50 to 75 years of age. Premiums must be paid until the insured is age 90 (if s/he doesn't die first of course), but after that the policy remains in force for the rest of the insured's life without their having to pay one more penny in premiums. Tesco PLC gets rave reviews from its customers. They are highly touted for their very competitive pricing, their product quality and diversity, and their great customer service. Their policies provide market leading insurance coverage, yet at the same time their insurance products are very customizable so that the insured's needs are fully met. Tesco PLC has the philosophy that your insurance products should suit the insured's lifestyle and help them better live their lives. They are also a "fat free" life insurance company, meaning that they don't believe people should have to pay for coverage they don't need. One of the best aspects of the Tesco approach is their team of dedicated claims advisers. These professionals are very good at their jobs and they are charged with making the whole insurance claims making process as fast, lucid, and painless as possible. Another highly competitive aspect of the life insurer is the extent of the things they will cover. Unlike many of their competitors, they will cover things such as extreme sports in the appropriate insurance policies. This means some people who would find it difficult to get affordable life or travelers' insurance coverage without changing their lifestyle no longer need to feel put off or worried; they can have the insurance coverage they desire at an affordable rate without compromising who they are. Tesco also takes a "passive" approach to marketing and selling its products. Besides maintaining its user friendly website, Tesco also sends out mailers and places brochures at locations such as grocery checkout lines in order to attract prospects. They don't do cold calling and they don't try the hard selling techniques that put off so many people. And why can they be so successful at doing this? Because Tesco is a retail supermarket chain!

Tesco was founded in 1932 as Tesco Stores Limited. In 1947, Tesco Stores (Holdings) Limited started trading shares of its stock to the public, and by 1959 Tesco acquired the 200-store grocery chain Harrow Stores Ltd. The company started its e-commerce store in 2000 and is now the United Kingdom's largest chain grocery store. In addition to the UK, Tesco does business in Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, the Republic of Ireland, Slovakia, Turkey, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.
